What Is The Solution For Extra Bone Growth On Arm Bone?

Hi Doctor,
This is John 23 years old. an extra bone has grown on my arm bone (since my arm was beaten in taekwondo) when I was around 16 years old. What is the solution? it is not painful actually but I afraid someone touches it and hurt me.

Thank you.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi john.
Extra bony growths can happen in any part of the body.
they are commonly known as exostosis in medical language.
most of them do not cause any trouble and are harmless.
One has to be worried about them only when they start growing in size, start causing lot of pain or they start coming out from multiple sites.
Some people also get them removed for cosmetic reasons.
If any of the above reason is troubling you then get an xray done and get it surgically removed.
Good luck.
