Pooping blood might be due to several conditions which requires proper detail for probable diagnosis. The blood in stool have different characteristics as it might be associated with pain or without pain. both are due to different conditions. blood before stool, blood with stool or blood after stool are associated with other different conditions. stool R/E might be helpful

It s important to be sure he is not allergic to particular foods. Common causes of black stools are diet, intake of Iron, allergies and melena (gastrointestinal hemorrage). I suggest he gets a review from a pediatrician to be very safe. Thanks and hope this helps.
