Have you been having regular periods? Why do you suspect that you may be pregnant?

If in doubt of pregnancy - you should get pregnancy testing kit/see your doctor and he can get urine or blood testing done for pregnancy.

If both parents have negative Rh type blood (with confirmed/written report), then as per the the pattern of inheritance, the baby's blood group has to be negative. IF there is any discrepancy, the blood group of baby and parents should ideally be rechecked.

I hope I've been able to clear your doubts.

General & Family Physician Dr. Juveria's  Response
Hello louise
Yes its late at 23 weeks to have an abortion. A person is said to be Rh positive when he/she has the antigen D of the Rh system which is present on the chrosome 1. The person may have inherited the gene either from one parent or both. But if both the parents are Rh negative i.e they dont possess the D antigen then the baby is also Rh negative. I hope I have answered all of your doubts.
