How To Control Blood Glucose Levels And High Urea?

I have just had a blood test for a study I am doing for Vitamin B12. There are three areas that I am out of the normal range, - glucose, urea and cholesterol. I kind of know about cholesterol, but what can I do/eat to reduce my glucose and urea? Cheers Julie Stapleton

Diabetologist 's  Response
Hi, i had gone through your query and understood your concerns.

The higher glucose levels can be controlled by low calorie diet. Small frequent meals. No direct sugars at all. No fruits with high sugar such as mangoes, banana , grapes etc. avoid sweets, cakes, honey jam, tuberous roots like potatoes etc. Exercises help to reduce sugar levels.

Regarding blood urea have check for kidneys, any urinary tract infection. Low protein diet if no pathology is checked out would help in reducing blood urea.

Hope this guides you. For any other queries you can write to us. we will be happy to help you. Thank you.
