My sons mri shows punctate areas of hyperintensity in the right mid brain. He suffered head trauma and has ptsd. What is corelation?
The punctate areas of hyperintensity may be due to small hemorrhages, intermittent calcifications due to degenerative changes or minor ischaemias. This is not worrisome if there is no associated neurological deficit.
tailbone purple..extreme pain.was told by local docter not a cyst
Sorry to hear about this.
Cyst is not the number one cause of tail bone pain. If your doctor also says so, then it is likely not. But what are your concerns about a cyst causing tailbone pain?
This is most often caused by prolonged sitting. Adjusting how you sit and for how long would be helpful. Also, you may want to take some pain medications for relief.
Wish you well, Dr. Ditah, MD
