My moms blood Sugar is 280? She is diabetic and has COPD. She took some presednisone to open up my lungs. When it gets that high what should I do? Is there any way to lower it? Thanks, if you post a question I will add details to answer to update the info! My mom is not insulin dependent.

You didn’t mentioned what sugar level you have. It matters in management.
If it is not too high, you can control it by diet control and exercise.
If it is not controlled, then oral hypoglycemic agents are given.
If it is still uncontrolled or very high then insulin injection is given.
