I've been experiencing a sharp, stabbing pain in my left elbow whenever I put pressure on the tip. What is causing this feeling?
Inflammed tendons, bursa, entraped ulnar nerve or inflammation secondary to trauma may cause such pain. Careful elbow examination, X-ray and blood hemogram can provide clues to identify the cause.
My thumb bent on a 45 degree angle and i colud not straighten it. It finally straighten out but i can not bend it backwards. What could cause this?
Hi ! Cmmlucas ! I am Dr Shareef answering your query. If there is no history of any trauma, then it could be a pathological condition of the tendon sheath in which the tendon the thumb glides. This can be diagnosed only with clinically examining your thumb. So I would suggest you to consult a orthopedic surgeon in your area for its management. Thanks.
