Hi My dad is 55 years old diabetic and had been diagnosed with Advanced PDR in his left eye and DME in his right eye.
The blood vessels started leaking and got 2 sessions od PRP in his left eye ehich controlled the leaking but he complains of blurry vision. He says the vision is clear early in the morning but as the day progresses the blurriness sets in and is worse at night. What is the reason for blurriness which is not present ealry in the morning and only sets in during certain times of the day?
Hello It seems from the history that your father is having proliferative diabetic retinopathy in left eye and doabetic macular edema in right eye. Since he has undergone PRP the cause for blurring of vision is PRP as it destoys the peripheral retina to save the central vision, since the pupil dilates in night the patient will experience blurring of vision in night. But PRP is very much essential to prevent further progression of visual loss to protect central vision.
Thank you
