Are Itching In Palms And Feet Symptoms Of Allergic Reaction To Antibiotics For Swollen Throat?
My daughter went to Dr with severely swollen tender throat. Dr prescribed Augmentin even though office strep came back negative. She has taken one dose. Her palms and feet are now itchy. Is this a symptom of the infection itself or possibly an allergic reaction to the antibiotic.

Hi. She can be sensitive to Augmentin.These are not the symptoms associated with sore throat. Stop this antibiotic and give her some anti allergic if itching is not controlled. You should consult your paediatrician again and change antibiotic.
