Reason For Not Able To Walk Long Distance And Fall?

I was diagnosed with inclusion body myositis via a muscle biopsy. I was sent to a neurologist because I had a stroke and shortly there after had to have a pacemaker put in. My neurologist basically is telling me good luck nothing much I can do for you as steroids did nothing for me. I find on here that I should be seeing a ruemetologist. I don't know what to do cause I tend to fall and cannot walk long distances at all.
