my neck is swollen on my right side and its hard feeling. what could it be?
Thanks for your query. The swelling can be an enlarged gland due to acute infection of upper part of the body; or, it can be simply a stiff neck muscle which has become prominent. Uncommonly, it can also be mumps of the saliva glands located below the jaw.
Consult your doctor who will examine you and advise accordingly.

Thanks for your query. The most common cause is abnormal posture, wheter due to issues with the mattress, or degree of elevation of the pillows; one simple trick that even worked for me for such problem is to sleep without a pillow so that your neck is in a 90 degree neutral position; if you think abaout it when we are awake we get a stiff neck if we keep the same position for long.
