Tight knot in forearm 2 weeks after blood draw. Vein looks puffy at draw site at (above forearm) and at wrist and palm. Suggestions on cause and treatment?
You need to be worried about the problem. It is simple condition known as "phlebitis" which is common after blood withdrawal from vein. It is due to injury by the tip of needle to the vein from inside. You need not to take any treatment of the same and will be alright in next 10-14 days. DO not massage or rub the area. You can take pain killers if there is any pain.

My son who is 1 year 9 months old has a small bunch of tiny pimples on both his hands (near his fists).
Should i worry?
The tiny pimples you are referring are lesions which if on the palm need to seen to differentiate between scabies, hand foot mouth and other skin disorders. Have they erupted on the foot also ? Does the child have a fever / cold? These questions need to be addressed besides the fact to rule out allergies .
