Why Is Folic Acid Tablets Used ?
Hie Doctor ... im using the overall tablets from one year.. now we are planing for a baby.. doctor suggest me to use the folic acid i.p.5 tablets.. what is the use of those tablets..tell me please..

hi welcome to health care magic.see its a iron tab which is necessary for proper neural tube and brain devlopment.now a day its combine with vit b12 which avoid threatend abortion and congenital defect.so you should take it from 1st day of conception till 3month of pregnancy.and 3visit of doc.follow doc advice.avoid heavy work during firat 3 month of pregnancy.

Read your prob, if you plan to get pregnant, you should get sonography for follicular study, so that you come to know about time of ovulation n do intercourse at that time. then there is more chance of getting pregnant. folic acid tab is given during pregnancy n iron deficiency anemia. you can take it. it helps in keeping your HB at normal leval.
