My daughter has an umbilical cord that is protruding outwards this has made her refuse to swim but loves swimming. What should i do for it to be normal like everyone else?
MY 6 year old daughter has a protruding umbilical cord this makes her really uncomfortable in front of her age mates. If pressed inward it produces a funny sound can anything be done for her.
Yes there are complications for any hernia. It won't resolve by itself. It must be treated surgically and the earlier the better so that no complications will occur
Hello.welcome.this is most likely umbilical hernia.Surgical repair is rarely needed(3 in 1000) as most resolve by the age of 3 years. If your daughter is older than 3 years then you should consult a pediatric surgeon.Good luck.
