What Could Be The Reason For Twitching, Tingling In Wrist, Palm While Sleeping Post Menopause?

my right hand has had a muscle spasm for probably a month or longer now. It happens in the lower part of my hand on the big thumb muscle on the palm of my hand. I can watch it twitch for hours. Sometime it will twitch or spasm if you touch it. I am post menopausal and have a a lot of weight gain in the past year. Oh and this wrist is very weak and my hands both tingle, especially while I sleep. Any advice is welcome. Thanks

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

I went through your query and understood your concerns, common cause for your symtom are low calcium level, which is common in menopausal women due to lack of hormones.
Calcium suppliments with adquate amount of sun light exposure for vitamin D helps in your problem. If it doesn't resolve need to get your nerve examined for any compression.

Regards
