yes mood changes and thyroid problem can be inter related to one other.
generally palpitations are associated with hyperthyroidism not hypothyroidism ,
if palpitations are your main symptoms please repeat your thyroid profile.
mood swings , anxiety , restlessness, sleep deprivation, depression can be some of the feature associated with thyroid disorders.
