What Could A Small Knot Be Around Thoracic Duct Area?
I have a very small knot in the area I just noted seems to be the Thoracic duct area. It feels like a mosquito bite would although it doesn t itch. I thought it might be a tension knot although it s not hurting like one would hurt. The reason I looked up lymphatic systems is that I had a malignant stage one tumor removed from my left breast November 2012.... followed by radiation through February 2013. I just noticed this yesterday and it hasn t gone away. It isn t painful... it s just there.
I am so sorry to hear about this knot. The acute onset of this knot makes it less likely to suggest a cancer related illness. It could be more of an allergic reaction or minor trauma. However, it is too early to make any conclusions. I will suggest that you monitor and report any changes in size or symptoms over 1-2weeks. There is no need to get too aggressive with this right now.
