Head Injury Behind Head, Vomiting, Headache, Feeling Sleepy. Symptoms Related To Injury?

My boyfriend hit his head at work about 2 days ago. He hit the back of his head on the machine he was working on. Today he went to work absolutely fine came home saying he doesn t feel good. He kept vomiting and using the restroom and he also mentioned his head is hurting a bit. I Came home right now seeing him balled up like a baby because he doesnt feel so good. Could these symptoms be related to the head injury he had 2 days ago?

Hi Ekalopez,
Thanks for writing your query.

Headache and vomiting is usually associated with head injury but if it is persisting, it needs medical attention.

After reading your post, it seems that your boyfriend has suffered from concussion injury.
It takes few days to weeks for complete recovery.
Proper rest will speed up the recovery.
He should avoid physical and mental stress. He should not drive during this period.
He should also avoid watching television/computers or even text messaging.

He can be given pain killer like Ibuprofen one tablet twice a day after meals along with an antacid like Omeprazole. Domperidone 10 mg once a day can be added for vomiting.

If the symptoms persists, get a scan of his head done and get him examined neurologically.

I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks.
