Suggest Remedy For Swelling In Ankles, Legs And Feet Turning Black Due To Diabetes?

I am diabetic. For several years I have been suffering from swollen ankles. It seems as though no doctor has taken this seriously, as they have never told me what to do, or prescribed any medication. I have neuropathy, and am now unable to sit or stand for any amount of time without sever swelling. My legs and feet are also now turning black, and I am in constant pain. I have a very difficult tme either wearing, or purchasing shoes. Please help me!!!

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

There are different possible causes for swelling in the ankles such as: (1) side effect of medication
(2) venous disease
(3) heart disease
(4) kidney disease
(5)diabetic neuropathy

Your doctors can assess the heart and kidneys via examination and blood tests.

You can consider elevating your limbs for periods during the course of the day. Compression stockings may be helpful if your doctors believe it may be related to the venous circulation.

Other interventions may depend on the cause found during your assessment.

I hope this helps
