when i was having severe asthama, they gave nebulization, oxygen and even deriphylline injection. but nothing helped me. finally they gave me Betnesol injection then i started getting better. yes steroids are life saving medications

I went to the doc today, have fluid on my ears, broncotis and a sinus infection. The doc gave me a steroid shot and scripts for (along with a my inhaler) a zpack, steroid pack and cough medicine. I m feeling worse now than I did this morning. My hips hurt badly as well. Is this normal?

Steroids help if there is swelling around the nerve. Usually it is given shortly after the accident. Usually taking a pain-killer and a comfortable posture help with symptoms of bulging disc. Improvement of symptoms seen in a few months.
Hi, No it is not suggested to go for steroids for body building. Though some athletes do take them, they have some serious effects for long term. They increase the male hormone called testosterone, which in turn have immediate as well as long term side effects. It is suggested to concentrate on diet and exercise rather than going for steroids.
