Done Anesthetic Discogram. How Long Can I Expect To Be Without Pain?

My neurosurgeon order a anethetic discogram procedure to be completed on my back. I just had the anesthetic discogram last Friday (9/27/2013) to my L5/S1 lumbar disc and my back for once did not hurt to incude my previous leg pain disappeared. Approximately how long can I expect to be without pain from this proceedure? Thank you Mike M.

Hi, thank you for your question.

The pain free period after such procedure varies from patient to patient, but average will be about 6 weeks.

Hope you speedy recovery

Best wishes
