Redness And Swelling In The Leg, Hypertension. Born With Spina Bifida And Hydrocephalus
i am 47 female with newly diagnosed high blood pressure started with redness in legs week of christmas lots of swelling and burning blood pressure was always 90 over 60 so never thought of high blood pressure both parents have and i weigh 94 pounds have been born with spina bifida and hydrocepalus and also refluxes in kidneys
Since you have that reflux you need to be further investigated regarding the exact cause of that hypertension. Poorly managed reflux can result in recurrent urinary infections, scarring of the kidney and hypertension.
Did you have any recurrent urinary infections?
Further investigations like DMSA may be required after examination by your doctor.
Continue to ask further queries as required. Hope this helps. Take care. Dr Y V Siva Sankara Murty M.D.(Pediatrics) Associate Professor of Pediatrics
