Can Sodium Chloride Inhalation Solution Be Used Instead Of Albuterol Solution?
My 7 month is on every 4 hour treatments of .83% of albuterol solution. Her pharmacist won t release more bc he says she is not due for any yet. I have sodium chloride .9% inhalation solution from one of my older children needing treatments. Can this be used interchangeably?

Hi, No. Both have different function. Albuterol is a broncho-dilator which helps in breathing easily specially in patients of asthma/allergic. Sodium chloride is a salt solution which may help in clearing the secretion. These drugs cannot be interchangeable.
