welcome to HCM
there is alot that you can tell your mother to do . first of all tell her never to sit on floor or bed with legs folded she should always use a stool or chair to sit... ask her to use western style toilet and not indian.. warm saline water bath is best for her joints ... she should take sufficient healthy diet...if pain is severe she can consult orthopedic surgeon
is it normal for your leg of be somewhat asleep when having a pinched nerve in your lower back? will I have to get an amputation? I'm kinda scared. ):
yes it is normal to feel numb or asleep in leg when the nerve in lower back is pressed because of longer sitting or a sudden jerk.
The numbness goes off in some time. If persists for a day or longer please consult with Orthopedics.
Nothing to worry.
