Suggest Medication For Sinus Infection

I think I have a sinus infection. My mucus is green, my throat is on fire, my face is swollen, and the lymph nodes on my throat are tender and swollen to the touch. Plus my ears ache.
Can I take cipro, 500 mg, 2x per day for 5 days? I have an rx I never used last time I got this.

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms. I agree with you that these could be because of sinus infection.

However, before starting antibiotics or any other medications, it would be better to consult your GP.

For sinus infection, better options are Augmentin (amoxycillin) or cephalosporins.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
