How Is Sinus Infection Treated ?
Infant has runny eyes with thick mucus . He has a cold as well. His eyes have been stuck shut when he wakes up in the morning. Could he have a sinus infection and blocked passages?

Your description suggests that your child is having blocked naso lacrimal ducts. If the discharge is since birth then it is a permanent blockage and will require treatment with 1. antibitotic drops, 2. lacrimal massage, 3. lacrimal duct probing. If the dischage has developed secondary to running nose that you child requires 1. treatment for his cold, 2. antibiotics drops for eyes, 3 nasal drops for running nose and a lacrimal massage. it is better to consult a paediatric ophthalmologist. take care
