What Is The Cause And Treatment For Shoulder And Arm Pain?

Shoulder pain. Shoulder blade pain. Entire arm pain . Odd feeling ring and pinky fingers. Started several weeks ago,in shoulder area kind of rotator cuff s/sx. But now entire RUE involved. Excruciating upon awakening. Only thing I can think of is rear mini van lid did not stay up and I got kibonked on head but it was so minor I never even got a h/a . Also I work as an RN and pts are heavy to lift. Thank you, Anita.

Hi there.

From your history it seems you haven't taken any rest after your injury. That could be one cause.
Secondly. ..and the more likely reason ......this could be due to cervical spondylitis and radiculopathy, since you have to lift heavy patients.

Kindly get a Xray of the cervical spine done.
Start on some anti inflammatory and muscle relaxant like Etoricoxib and Thiocolchiside.
Hot fomentation and local analgesic gel massage
Short wave diathermy
Rest....which is the most importan.
