Tight knot in forearm 2 weeks after blood draw. Vein looks puffy at draw site at (above forearm) and at wrist and palm. Suggestions on cause and treatment?
HI, You need to be worried about the problem. It is simple condition known as "phlebitis" which is common after blood withdrawal from vein. It is due to injury by the tip of needle to the vein from inside. You need not to take any treatment of the same and will be alright in next 10-14 days. DO not massage or rub the area. You can take pain killers if there is any pain. Dr Sanjay Kumar Kandia

Hi I fell off my bed an hour ago on my wrist and it was my right wrist and my right ankle and none of them are bruised or swelled up but it hurts to do
Hi. Welcome to HCM. Wrist injuries most common. Sprains and wrist bone fractures are common. U dont have swelling and it appears u dont have a fracture, if u develop swelling and severe pain with movement restriction it is better to consult a orthopedic surgeon. Take Hifenac P tablets twice daily after food for pain and dont do strenuous work which may hurt u. U can also apply diclo gel for pain.

I am.having visible very visible veins on my shoulders chest arms hands palm.of.hands....my hands are also.red for some.time now but.veins.is.new. im not pregn
Its ok to have such a condition. Some people have this. Its a concern if these veins itch, burn, sore, or swell up, or leak blood under the skin, show black-brown spots. If such a thing would happen any time ( esp leg veins ) then you must show to a doctor or else conciser this as normal. Even certain white skinned persons show up such veins but its normal.
