My wife is having UTI problem for almost a year. Antibiotics is not working. Urine test shows:
Leukocytes - plenty
SquamousEpithelialCell - plenty
What to do
You should get a urine culture and sensitivity test. Most of the cases are benefitted by nitrofurantoin therapy for 2 weeks. If not kidney function should be assessed.
My urine report shows epithelialcells 15 cells/hpf what does it mean
Epithelialcells generally are present normally in urine report. They are not very significant if there are no pus cells. However, they can be raised in infections and rarely malignancies.
Presnce of only epithelialcells are not taken to be specific of major problem.

pls wat is d meaning of epithelialcells. 0-6phf? tanks.
epithelialcells are found in the urine in two occasions. The first and a lost more common than the second is when the urine sample is not proper. A common error for women collecting the first urine that comes out of the urethra without spreading the vulva.
Midstream urine without skin contaminants should be obtained.
The second case involves tumors (very rare).
