How To Treat Knee Inflexibility And Pain With History Of Gastric Bypass Surgery?

For a few years I have not been able to bend my knee fully, ie sitting in a kneeling position is impossible. My Dr. Told me I needed to lose weight and excersise to strengthen my muscles. I had gastric bypass surgery in October and have lost 50 lbs so far. My weight is currently 240 lbs. I have had a personal trainer since November to work on strengthening my muscles. My knees also make a crunching noise when I bend them. There is no pain when I walk, only pain when I kneel or stretch my quads. What could this be and what else should I do? I am a 41 year old female.

keeping your weight in mind i am sorry but you have to sit on chair, sofa which allow only 90 degree knee bending.so avoid kneeling/squatting for that matter till you loose more weight.
keep up the good work of muscle strengthening.take care and don't loose hope.
