Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How To Treat Knee Inflexibility And Pain With History Of Gastric Bypass Surgery?
For a few years I have not been able to bend my knee fully, ie sitting in a kneeling position is impossible. My Dr. Told me I needed to lose weight and excersise to strengthen my muscles. I had gastric bypass surgery in October and have lost 50 lbs so far. My weight is currently 240 lbs. I have had a personal trainer since November to work on strengthening my muscles. My knees also make a crunching noise when I bend them. There is no pain when I walk, only pain when I kneel or stretch my quads. What could this be and what else should I do? I am a 41 year old female.

hi keeping your weight in mind i am sorry but you have to sit on chair, sofa which allow only 90 degree knee bending.so avoid kneeling/squatting for that matter till you loose more weight. keep up the good work of muscle strengthening.take care and don't loose hope.
