Abdominal Pain. History Of Jaundice
Hello Doctor, This morning I got up with a mild pulsating pain towards the right hand side (closer to the center) of my lower abdomen . This is continuing even now, 4 hrs after I got up. This is out of the blue and I was perfectly alright till I went to bed y day. One thing that s worth stating is that I had dinner party y day which went late (went to be at 1.30 am) and I had a few drinks as well. My total sleep time was around 5 hrs. I am physically fit, with an hr in the guys 3-4 days a week. I had jaundice close to 3 yrs ago and has fully recovered.

We would like you to know that it could be due to various causes like appendicitis, renal stone, colic etc. If you had fever along with pain, chances of having appendicitis were quite high. Therefore, we would recommend you to get in touch with your Doctor as soon as possible and get yourself fully examined. As you have not mentioned the cause of the jaundice you had 3 years back, it would not be possible for us to comment if it is in anyway related to this. Hope this helps

Hi, you ve mentioned very unspecific symptoms but i suppose this was biliary colic which is the most common reason for such pain. Especially if u have been drinking before that. alcohol and fat food can trigger biliary colics but pancreatitis as well. Do you have history of stones? if you do, you should think of it first. You need to do ultrasound and liver enzymes levels and avoid junk food and alcohol of course.
