Hi Mithee, Thanks for your query. Aspiration Pneumonia due to trickling of stomach contents / eaten food into the wind pipe, is a common complication of Tracheostomy. Treatment with an aggressive course of antibiotics covering gram positive, gram negative and anaerobes, will give excellent response.
