Tight knot in forearm 2 weeks after blood draw. Vein looks puffy at draw site at (above forearm) and at wrist and palm. Suggestions on cause and treatment?
HI, You need to be worried about the problem. It is simple condition known as "phlebitis" which is common after blood withdrawal from vein. It is due to injury by the tip of needle to the vein from inside. You need not to take any treatment of the same and will be alright in next 10-14 days. DO not massage or rub the area. You can take pain killers if there is any pain. Dr Sanjay Kumar Kandia

sir, I want to know that my right hand side vein is very tight , because I suffer from fever about one month ago and doctor inject a some injection and drip.
It seems like a phlebitis. Superficial phlebitis is rarely serious and frequently responds to pain-killers, stockings, limb elevation and warm compresses. Do not put iv line in it again. Consult physician to rule out Deep vein thrombosis.
