27 week pregnancy with mild fullness of the pelvi-calyceal system bilaterally, what does this mean? Any side effects on baby?
Hi, This finding is quite common & just need ultrasound follow up of the baby during pregnancy & a paediatriation review at delivery. If it remains mild, no side effects on baby. If it increases in severity then you may have to consult nephrologist for expert opinion. Take care.

i still have back pain i have been treared with antibiotics. my kub show mild caliectasia on my left kidney. what i should i do and what should i avoid?
Dear Gselsoy, I am Dr Mbong. Do drink lots of fluids preferably water (at least 1.5 litre a day). Do avoid soda or concentrated or alkaline drinks (they favor the formation of kidney stones which may further block the kidney calyces). Also avoid spicy foods and do not drink too much milk or diary products. For the pain do see a doctor for pain killers & a control urine/kidney tests. Quick recovery
