You may be having weakness of your quadriceps or thigh muscles, which causes the friction between patella & thigh bone to increase and hurt. A way out is to strengthen your quads--meet a physio or check up on the net for the same.If after exercising 3 times a day for 30 days, there is no reduction in your pain, suggest you go & see the orthopaedist.
