Pain in the ear can be the infection in external or internal ear. and this pain can radiate to neck too. If there is discharge it is conformed that there is infection in ear . Also need to see other parts of ear using otoscope so do consult the ENT doctor for the examination. and if its very sharp firstly use the normal pain killers. thanks
