What Causes A Lump On Thigh?

I have a lump or more like a bulge on the front of my right thigh. I first noticed it 5 years ago. It is numb all the time but when I walk more then 15 min. it burns and hurts very bad. I can not continue to use it as the pain and burning is so severe. I have had a MRI on my lower back and it did not show anything. I had 2 CAT scans on the thigh and again they did not show anything. One report said it was tendenitis of the thigh ????. I am concerned as it is progressive. Oh and if I rub the lump on my thigh it hurts After not while I am touching it. Help....suggestions on what other Doctors or tests. Been to two different Orthos already. Thanks Sue

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
This is very typical one.
Tendinitis can definitely present this way.
Now go for simple ultrasonography of the lump and fine needle aspiration cytology. This can be followed by local injection of steroids. This will solve your problem .
