Hi

HDL - is the good cholesterol for the heart, usually we like to keep the levels around 2, 1.05 is quite low in your case.

similarly triglycerides is on the higher side with 4.3, normal range is around 2-2.5.

As you have a family history of cardiac problems, it is very important to have your levels in low risk range, may tablets to start with to lower them and after wards they can be kept in range with diet and exercise.

Thanks.

Welcome to HCM. In view of the family history of myocardial infarction in both parents,it would help if you took steps to reduce the elevated Triglycerides and low HDL values. You will need to lose any excess weight, stop smoking, avoid polysaturated fats and red meat, increase consumption of soluble fibre(found in oatmeal, beans, fruit and vegetables).Regular exercise for at least 30 minutes a day would help. You can try this change in life style for a couple of months and repeat the lipid profile to check whether matters are resolving.
