Lump On Right Side Of Face, No Redness, Sensitive To Touch. Nerves?
I have a lump on the right side of my face. There is no redness and my face is clear. I noticed it when I put lotion on and it is sensitive to the touch. No One would notice it unless i pointed it out. I can see it in the mirror if I drop my jaw. Could it be ball of nerves? I hold a lot of tightness in my jaw. This is directly between my nose and ear.
Hi, Welcome to HCM. You are having swelling on right side of face between nose and ear. It is not visible unless mouth is opened. It is not painful, but, slightly tender on touch. With all history given by you, I feel that it is either fibroma or neuroma. Both the conditions are benign. The diagnosis may be confirmed by biopsy. For that , you consult either dermatologist or surgeon. The lesion may be excised under local anaesthesia. If it is not embarassing, it may kept untreated.
I hope you got my answer. Thanks. Dr. Ilyas Patel MD .
