y do I retain water if I'm urinating while taking laxsic
Thanks for writing in.
Lasix is a diuretic, it increases urine formation and works as per its mechanism of action. Taking Lasix will delay the edema formation but will not stop it. You might be having severe edema probably and Lasix is only controlling the edema partially.
Hope this helps.

You are advised to have USG scan of abdomen done to see if there is any anatomical problem in kidney which is causing this uncontrolled hypertension.
Please revert back to us with USG reports.

Hi, I have big blisters on my lower leg that. Are busting & oozing out liquid! I am diabetic. I take 2 Lasix a day also! What do you think this is?
Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your legs. The blisters sound like you have excessive fluids and edema in your legs. In my patients I try to treat the edema by having my patients elevate their legs, eat a low sodium diet, limit the amount of fluids and take your medications. You may also try using compression hose like Jobst Stockings. If these don't help seek your doctor
