Doctor, there is a boil in my left buttocks which is reocourring. I have got 2 boils drained. But it is coming again around the same area. Kindly advice.
In recurrent boils conditions like diabetes has to be ruled out. Ask your doctor for blood sugar tests.
I would advice my patient to maintain good hygiene. A skin swap may be dine for culture and sensitivity to rule out resistant bacterial strains like MRSA.
Hey doc have a bump on my babies butt its real red with a head..is this a boil?
Sorry to hear about this.
From all you have described, the answer is most likely a boil or Abscess.
It is best managed with pain reliever(acetaminophen), antibiotics and incision and drainage if there is pus collection.
Meet your pediatrician for appropriate management.
For now, you may give pain killers as you make the necessary arrangements.
Wish him/her a quick recovery.
Thanks, Dr. Ditah
