What should be the LDL and HDL Cholesterol Ratio?
Is the total cholesetrol count a more serious parameter for an cardiac problem or is it the ratio between the bad cholesterol (LDL) and the good cholesterol (HDL).My total cholesterol is 241 and I am very worried about this.
What measures should one take to lower LDL and increase HDL ?

What are the foods ( veg and non veg )which are high in omega 3 fatty acids that increase HDL and help reduce LDL.
The below food products are rich in omega 3 fatty acids
1. Cod liver oil and it's products
2. Flax seeds oil
3. Walnut oil
4. Soya beans
5. Sea food like salmon
Any food products cooked or fried in these oil would be rich in omega 3 fatty acids.
