Hi ! There is water retention upto some extent in the body during periods, and the tissue in the axilla may also swell. Not very infrequently there could be some accessory breast tissue in the axilla which gets affected by the hormonal changes during periods like a normal breast tissue, and may give rise to some discomfort. If it persists, then show to your family physician for a check up. Thanks

The best way to get a diagnosis is ultrasonography and FNAC- (Fine needle aspiration cytology.) a simple OPD procedure. Please go for this as well as a clinical examination to see the status of lymphnodes in the other parts of neck , axillae, liver and spleen.
This can also be a condition called thyroglossal cyst, ectopic thyroid and so.
my father undergoing treatment of tb of lymphnodes for last 11 mths.experiencing loss of appetite and mild itching over the body.no visible lymphnodes.
Thanks for writing to us.
The treatment duration of lymphnode tuberculosis is 6 months and is treated with isoniazid, rifampicin and pyrazinamide . the loss of appetite could be due to disease itself or most probably due to drugs too. Similarly itching over body could be due to drugs or dry skin. Please let ur doc know these
For itching, apply good emollient and antihistamines for few days
