Hi dear, it is due to sinus infection which called sinusitis , due to infection sinus mucous thickens and having pain and any other complain. Take inhalation of warm water regularly. Thank you

While polypoid mucosal thickening indicates a chronic condition,sore throat and post nasal drip usually indicates a recent infection,and need treatment with antibiotics and analgesics.I usually give azithromycin/amoxicillin and levocetirezine to my patients.Your doctor will guide you.
