Am I Pregnant Or Is It The Medicines Causing Aches?

I am 42, my husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for over a year. we had a miscarriage in july several times i thought i was pregnant, but wasn t. I am now 3 days late for my period, really bad cramps that engulf my entire lower abdominal area, twings around my ovaries, backache, headache, very tired but a negative pregnancy test today. I am up a lot during the night to pee, i do drink a lot of water. I recently went off Zoloft and onto Fluoxetine. I am getting very alarmed something is wrong, thought i was pregnant. my obgyn is on vacation. I need to know if im pregnant, if the new change in meds is goofing things up or what should i do.. I don t want another baby disapointment.

Hi,

I read your query and I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply:

1) Its very difficult to predict if you are pregnant based on these complaints only.

2) Please get serum beta hCG blood test to confirm pregnancy

Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Regards,
Dr. Mahesh Koregol
