What Is The Treatment For Tumor In Brain And Lung Cancer?

Hi, my father in law has lung cancer and a couple of months ago found out he has a tumor in his brain. Last week he was feeling cold, tired, and weak. they gave him a transfusion and off he went feeling good. Last night he was told to go to the e.r for the same symptoms and the drew blood. The told them to get Hospice now. When this usually happens, how much longer does the person have to live?

Your father in law is suffering from stage 4 cancer.
The option now can only be palliative chemotherapy and radiation to brain.
The basic aim of treatment now is palliation and not cure.
Basic supportive care has to be given and palliative chemotherapy can control spreading of the tumour.
