Painful Lump On The Upper Rib Cage. Anything To Be Worried?

Hello,

I have a weird bump on my upper right rib cage. It is sore and about 4-5 inch in diameter. It is located 5 in under the armpit directly below the arm. I have a similar bump on the other left side just not as large.
I believe it is from a new type of excise I did saturday - but it seems weird and wanted to have it checked out.

Thank you,
P

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
As the bumps are sore and have appeared in the same area on both side after exercises ,it may be the sore inflamed muscle mass.injury to muscle may occur after jerky stretching and strenuous exercises involving the muscles .
Better will be to consult doctor and get a check up and to stop the exercise till then .
