I had very mild spotting mid cycle between periods, no period yet three days late, also over oily hair at the root no matter if i just take a shower, and mild nose bleeds , also neg pregnancy test . could i have tested too early or could there be a hormonal imbalance. also just had my third child 7 months ago.

Hi,
Ovulation bleeding or mid cycle spotting is a term used to describe mild bleeding or spotting that occurs at around the time of ovulation. In most cases, this bleeding occurs approximately 14 to 16 days after the last menses in a normal 28 day cycle.
This is a normal phenomenon.
As you have given birth to baby 7 months before, your body is recovering from hormonal changes.
