Does the risk of having a heart attack increase with a histerectomy or menopause?
Hello and welcome to HCM,
The risk of heart attack is not related to hystrectomy.
Menopause is associated with fall in levels of estrogens and progesterone.
Estrogens have a protective effect on the cardiovascular health.
After menopause this protective effect is lost and the female is at similar risk for cardiovascular diseases as their male counterparts.

I have a really bad shoulder pain after a bout of heavy drinking is this a heart attack
Hi, thanks for the question.
heart attack has many other symptoms apart from arm pain.
do you have short of breathing or chest pain or cold sweating?
are you smoker, or obese or heavy alcohol drinker?
do you have diabetes or high blood pressure?
do you have high cholesterol?
most causes of arm pain comes from the arm itself anyway
