Hello and welcome,
I understand the issue.
There are advantages and disadvantages associated with the procedure.
Advantages:
1.Places essure through the vagina so there is no need for scar.
2. efficacy is good.
3. procedure is outpatient.
Disadvantages:
1. takes 3 months to begin action
2. cannot be reversed.
3. cannot undergo procedures like
endometrial ablation in future if needed for heavy bleeding.
4.does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases.
Some women have
pelvic pain and discharge after essure.
So think about all this and discuss once more with your doctor before going for the procedure. Other options are tubal sterlisation surgery using a
laparoscopy. This will require
anesthesia, is reversible if needed and will begin action immediately. However you may need admission in hospital for one night.
I hope that you understand the problems that may occur with essure and also its advantages. So choose wisely and you will not have any problems.
Hope this was helpful.
Feel free to ask any further queries and I will be happy to help.
Thanks for using HCM.
Have a good day.
